Hapeville's Juneteenth Celebration
Join the City of Hapeville for its annual Juneteenth Freedom Day Celebration on Friday, June 19! From 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., a series of educational and entertainment activities will be held to celebrate a day synonymous with freedom and culture. The Hapeville Depot Museum will hold Genealogy Workshops at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. History lectures will occur at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. and a Juneteenth Panel Discussion will be held at 3:30 p.m. Just around the block at Jess Lucas Y-Teen Park, an array of festivities including live music, dance and poetry performances and food trucks will be take place from 1 – 6 p.m. Bring the whole family to enjoy face painting, interactive crafts, inflatables games, and more! This event is open to everyone in the community to celebrate freedom, culture and connection in the heart of Hapeville!
