Christmas Bells are Ringing!
The final Rändel Wolfe concert of 2024 featuring the renowned handbell soloist Ron Bellamy will be accompanied by his wife, pianist Linda Lorgus. Together they will share Christmas carols and songs that will be sure to have you in the Christmas spirit! Join us and help support the important work of Family Promise of Berks County!
Ron Bellamy began ringing handbells in 1979 and has been a performer and clinician for Handbell Exploration, the Handbell Musicians of America (HMA), and Solo/Ensemble Extravaganza (SEE). A former member of the Philadelphia Handbell Ensemble, he is now their Artistic Director. He is a solo handbell artist and was the solo ringing clinician at the 2024 HMA National Seminar in Hartford CT. Ron is the handbell director at the Elizabethtown Church of the Brethren and has directed the Bucknell University Rooke Chapel Ringers on several occasions in Dr. William Payn’s absence. He has conducted several massed ringing festivals and was the conductor for the February 2024 Toms River Handbell Festival as well as for the April 2024 Virginia Bronze Ring in Spring Festival. A graduate of the University of Scranton and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, his full-time employment is in the field of accounting and finance.
