Wreaths Across America

National Wreaths Across America Day is a day where volunteers gather to place live balsam veterans’ wreaths on the headstones of our nation’s heroes, joining together to say each of their names out loud one more time and in doing so, keeping their memories alive. Wreaths Across America’s mission is simple: Remember the fallen, Honor those that serve, and Teach the next generation about the value of freedom. In 2023, over two million veterans’ wreaths were placed across the country by more than three million volunteers, a third of whom were children.

National Wreaths Across America day will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024. Locally, our ceremony will begin at 12 noon, followed by the placement of wreaths, at Resurrection Cemetery, 547 N Krocks Rd, Allentown, PA 18106 where 1700 local veterans are laid to rest.  Bishop Schlert will be in attendance. This event is free and open to everyone. We hope you can attend to witness this inspiring occasion.

The number of veterans buried at Resurrection continues to grow. This year, our goal is to place 1700 wreaths and ensure no veteran is forgotten. Each hand made live wreath costs $17 to sponsor. Donating is easy and can be done at https://www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/pages/153365/  For every two wreaths donated using these links, a third wreath will be added. Order cutoff is December 3, 2024.
