The Sanctuary at Haafsville’s Fast & Furriest 5K to be Held on June 1
Walk or Run to Raise Funds for the ~150 Animals Currently in The Sanctuary’s Care
Join The Sanctuary at Haafsville on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. for the second annual Fast and Furriest 5K! Run or walk through beautiful Lehigh Parkway while raising funds for the daily care and medical needs of our animals. By participating you’ll be supporting dogs like Zara, a backyard breeding dog who was scheduled for euthanasia before being rescued by The Sanctuary. Zara had been living with a severe prolapse for months in pain and discomfort. The prolapse required extensive surgery and Zara is now on a specific gastrointestinal diet to ensure she fully processes her food. Zara is a volunteer favorite and has the best temperament despite all she has gone through.

Founded in 2010, The Sanctuary at Haafsville is a safe haven for homeless cats and dogs located in Breinigsville, PA. In our first 14 years we’ve placed over 14,000 animals into loving forever homes. We partner with shelters that are overcrowded, accept dogs and cats from owners who need to relinquish them, and work to place animals into loving homes.
