Brake the Cycle of Poverty
Save the date it’s time to ride! Our 17th annual “Brake the Cycle of Poverty” ride through the beautiful rolling hills of rural Berks County is August 8th. Friend, Inc. Community Services is a social support agency that has worked tirelessly for over 40 years reducing food insecurity and other household economic pressures in communities throughout northeastern Berks County.
The ride features 4 breathtaking courses: The 62-mile Metric Century rides through covered bridges in Berks County, a 40-mile gentle rolling hills ride, another with 25 miles of winding backroads, and a flat 10-mile scenic ride perfect for beginners and families too. All four rides feature breath-taking views, rolling hills, winding backroads, best-in-class GPS and rider support, staffed, nourishing rest stops, and well-marked roads. There’s also food, drink, music by the Hannah Violet Trio, and more when we’re done.
