Maria Rodale was the CEO and Chairman of Rodale, Inc., the publisher of Prevention, Men’s Health, and other lifestyle magazines, and many books including Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth” and “The South Beach Diet.” She is now on the board of Rodale Institute, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit that researches regenerative organic farming practices. Her lifetime of service and activism have resulted in her receiving the National Audubon Rachel Carson Award, the U.N. Award for the Health and Dignity of Women, and an honorary Doctorate from Delaware Valley University. She lives in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania.
