Easton Area High School Choir's 120th Anniversary Concert


The Easton Area High School Choir celebrates their 120th Anniversary! Join the EAHS Choir and over 130 Choir Alumni as they mark this important milestone with a special concert on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 7:00 PM in the EAHS auditorium. This event is free and open to the public. We will have raffles, merchandise and a snack stand; all proceeds help the EAHS choir. The concert will feature music composed by past and current students and faculty of Easton Area High School. The repertoire includes “Dreams of Easton High” by Margaret C. Boehmer (class of 1910), “I Never Saw a Moor” by Charles W. Rasely, “The Lord’s Prayer” by James B. Beam, “I Have Had Singing” by Pete Deshler, and “I’ve Been Workin’ On the Railroad” by John P. Shilanskas. In honor of this special anniversary, the Choir has commissioned and will perform “Singing Brings Me Joy”, composed by EAHS alumni and member of Straight No Chaser, Walter Chase. The Anniversary Concert will be recorded and broadcast on WGPA 1100 AM on Sunday, May 7, 2025 at 2:00 PM. Since the establishment of the Easton Area High School Choir, the ensemble has performed at many events across the Lehigh Valley and beyond. The EAHS choir has performed with The Allentown Symphony Orchestra, Kenny Rogers, at Carnegie Hall and at a Toronto Blue Jays game. The group has performed in Baltimore, Boston, Cleveland, Chicago, Myrtle Beach, New York City, Ottawa, Toronto, Washington, D.C., and Williamsburg.
