Holiday Train Display

It is the holiday season at America On Wheels in Allentown, PA, and kids 12 and under are free from November 29 – December 29. Don’t miss your chance to see an incredible collection of vehicles and the story of America’s unique role in the evolution of transportation. This month we feature an absolutely EPIC Lego display (courtesy of our friends from PennLUG and SnailLUG Lego clubs) including many custom-crafted scenes. Thrill to a terrifying Kraken submerging a pirate ship. Relax with Lego friends “chilling” on a beach (in December), and marvel as a custom-crafted Lego train encircles a metropolis as avengers and other heroes keep careful watch. Traditional train people will also love the display from our friends at the Lehigh Valley Garden Railroaders, including Thomas the Tank Engine and a clever scavenger hunt for both young and old. Can you spot all the items on the list? An additional holiday feature is the taxi from the iconic film It’s a Wonderful Life in which Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed were driven by Ernie (yes, it’s the actual taxi!).
