Passport to History at Governor Wolf Historical Society
Governor Wolf Historical Society will participate in the annual Passport to History on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 10 am to 3 pm. This is a FREE event with FREE snacks. There will be “Make-it-n-Take it” crafts for everyone, demonstrations and a newly designed museum. There will be FREE activities for kids and adults. Bring your grandchildren! We will take your photo sitting in an 1800's schoolroom! We will have tours of the garden and info on herbs, and have hearth cooking (a smaller version). Mark your calendar and enjoy the fun experience!
At 1:30 pm, this event features a speaker on "Herbs in Early Gardens". Can you recognize plants by their smell, color or plant structure? Before pills, how did great grandma treat gout, croup and indigestion? Come learn about the plants our ancestors grew to enhance their health, season their recipes and enhance their lives.
