An Historical Introduction to Letterpress Printing
This lecture-workshop will include a brief lecture on the beginnings of letterpress printing in Europe in the second half of the fifteenth century. It will also feature close examination of books in the Special Collections branch printed between 1550 and 1800, and hands-on exercises that will allow participants to study the typology and design of these books. Registration required. Limited to 12.
