On this 2.2-mile sandy trail, you'll enjoy views of the Albuquerque Volcanoes, hundreds of petroglyphs, and diverse species of desert wildlife. Vault toilets available, but no water. Bring plenty of water with you. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable hiking/walking shoes with good ankle support. Binoculars are helpful. Ask your local public library about borrowing birding kits. Meet at the Rinconada Canyon parking lot, at the intersection of Unser Blvd and St. Joseph’s Avenue.
