City Nature Challenge 2025

City Nature Challenge ABQ invites everyone in Bernalillo, Sandoval, and Valencia Counties to explore nature in and around your community and share your observations from April 25-28. You can look for wildlife on your own, or attend one of our free public events. Help us compete against cities all over the world. It’s easy to participate: 1) Set up an account at iNaturalist.org or in the iNaturalist app. 2) Take and submit your photos of animals and their signs (tracks, scat, feathers, etc., & audio), plants, and fungi that you find during the challenge. 3) Help identify others’ observations, and have iNaturalist and its community help you, thru May 4th.
