“Crossroads of the Revolution”: Albany County’s USA 250 Celebration
This summer Albany County swore in a Commission to plan for the 250 Anniversary of the birth of the USA. The Commission will spend the next few years planning the local celebration. It has a lot to work with given the county’s rich Revolutionary War history and numerous historic sites including a number in New Scotland. Jeff Perlee, the Commission’s Chair and Albany County Legislator, will discuss the work of putting together the 250th Commission and Albany County's efforts to begin the commemoration of the 250 Anniversary of the American Revolution, and how citizens and local historical associations can get involved, as well as other relevant topics.
