Join Kinderhook Books on Friday, August 29, for An Evening with Tig Notaro, the opening night of the inaugural Rough Notes Festival—a three-day celebration of the craft of storytelling in all its forms.
The festival opens with a stand-up performance by Emmy and Grammy-nominated comedian, bestselling author, and Oscar-nominated producer Tig Notaro. Following the performance, Tig will be joined by Emmy-nominated actor, comedian, writer, and performance artist Lauren Weedman for a conversation about writing and the creative process.
Doors open: 5:30 p.m. Show begins: 6:30 p.m.

Tig Notaro is an Emmy, Grammy, and Oscar-nominated stand-up comedian, actor, producer, and podcaster. Known for her observational comedy and deadpan delivery, she was named one of the "50 best stand-up comics of all time” by Rolling Stone.
About Lauren Weedman
Lauren Weedman is an award-winning performance artist, playwright, author, teacher, and host. She was nominated for a 2026 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as Mayor Jo Pezzimenti on Hacks.
