In Memory of Those We Loved & Lost in 2025, ICFS presents
MARK OF THE DEVIL (1970)
Beloved by horror fans, Udo Kier is yet another of the great talents lost to cinema in 2025. As a tribute, we bring you the film that launched his career. Famously marketed as ‘Rated V for Violence’, Mark of the Devil arguably remains the best witch-hunter film ever made (right alongside the Vincent Price classic, Witchfinder General aka Conqueror Worm). In 1700’s Austria, a witch-hunter's apprentice (Kier) begins to have doubts about the righteousness of witch-hunting when he witnesses the brutality, injustice, falsehood, torture, and lustful arbitrary killing that go with the job. Not enough for you? No worries... we got you covered! When originally released theaters passing out barf bags emblazoned with the film’s name – and we have a handful of those barf bags to give away to those who survive our inquisition! Also starring screen vet Herbert Lom, skull-faced Reggie Nalder and the bewitching Olivera Katarina. Rated R. 98 minutes.
