SHERRY WACK ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
I have been drawing since I was six. Early In my career I drew and painted mostly horses and people. But
nature has always been a balm and an inspiration for me so in recent years I have done more work
celebrating God’s creation. Though I was accepted to the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts on the basis of my black-and-white drawings, I soon transitioned to pastels and then to oil paint. I studied at PAFA for two years. There were many years when I was raising a family and working that I painted very little. In 2008 I began a decorative painting business and started working with acrylic, painting murals, and doing faux finishing. Now in my retirement, with the help of 3 good teachers, I have rediscovered pastels. I revel in the landscapes in the Catskills and feel very blessed to live here.
