Women Artist Community exhibit at Gallery 5

The exhibit offers a visual feast of multiple art forms. Curated in celebration of Schenectady Art Night, it features acrylic, oil, watercolor, prints, sculpture, mixed media and encaustic by Capital Region artists. Gallery 5's mission is to invigorate the local art community by providing a platform for both emerging and established artists. By hosting pop-up art shows 2-3 times per year, Gallery 5 brings a fresh, exciting energy to Schenectady. These events are more than just exhibitions; they are celebrations of creativity, drawing artists, collectors, and art enthusiasts together. The founders’ commitment to this mission has made Gallery 5 a beacon for artistic exploration and community engagement. Women Artist Community (WAC) is a network of self-identifying female fine artists in the Capital Region and beyond. The group aims to share information to build connections while supporting members’ individual paths as artists. In a spirit of camaraderie and inclusivity, they respect the unique talents, backgrounds and vision of its membership. In its initial year, WAC accomplished exhibitions held in four distinct venues. Several artist members took part in other group shows and also had solo exhibits in the region.
