The H.K. Barker Center for Economic Education, inside the LeBron James Family Foundation School of Education, is excited to announce author Peter Hayes will be visiting Akron on his upcoming book tour this spring. Dr. Hayes resides as Professor Emeritus of History and German, specializing, in the histories of Nazi Germany and the Holocaust at Northwestern University. Peter has been featured in many documentary films, including most recently Ken Burns’ PBS production The United States and the Holocaust.
In a free lecture open to the community on April 3rd at 4:30 pm, Dr. Hayes will share findings from his new book (2025), Profits and Persecution: German Big Business in the Nazi Economy and the Holocaust published by Cambridge University Press.
