Wheels for the World Wheelchair Collection Drive
On Saturday, August 9, Parkside Kent church will serve as a collection center for the “Wheels for the World” program of Joni and Friends International. Donations of wheelchairs (any condition) will be accepted from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. The church is located at 5915 Rhodes Rd, Kent, Ohio.
This is a Christian ministry that refurbishes the equipment and then delivers them to less-resource countries around the world. Teams of volunteers, including physical therapists, custom fit each wheelchair to the recipients to meet their needs. Distribution of the equipment is free.
