Formed in 2016 to perform at a fundraiser for hunger relief in Lakewood, The George Martins have grown to become one of Northeast Ohio’s premier Beatles cover bands. Not a tribute band as members of the project do not recreate the look of The Beatles; instead, the group pays homage through the careful recreation of the songs and performing them with a passion while having a whole lot of fun. This formula has worked well, leading to The George Martins moving audiences both locally and nationally, most recently enjoying their debut performance at the prestigious Abbey Road on the River festival in Jeffersonville, Indiana, where they have been invited to return in 2024.
Locally, the band regularly performs sets filled with songs from across The Beatles’ storied catalog as well as albums in their entirety at summer events and festivals, private functions, and at the many music venues around Cleveland. Band members Michael Miller, Tony Bunce, David McHenry, Jason Weiner and Michael Lyford have been in love with this music for most of their lives and look forward to celebrating a sampling of favorites with you soon.
