Film Screening: The Doctor and the Medicine Woman
Visit the Cummings Center's Institute for Human Science and Culture for a free screening of Director Lydia Turco’s 2024 documentary "The Doctor and the Medicine Woman," followed by a live Q&A with Shianne Eagleheart, who is featured in the film.
The film presents a journey from the white walls of a French day hospital to the Healing Lodges in the Ohio forest, where caregivers on both sides share their experiences in supporting community in healing addiction through cultural dialogue.
Light refreshments will be offered during the post-screening Q&A.
