Nutritionist and sleep health pioneer, Dr. Marie-Pierre St-Onge, will join the library for a virtual discussion about her new book, Eat Better, Sleep Better: 75 Recipes and a 28-Day Meal Plan That Unlock the Food-Sleep Connection. There are scientific correlations that what you eat directly affects how you sleep. Eat Better, Sleep Better is based on scientific research that builds a guide for readers to incorporate sleep-supporting ingredients into their meals that work with the body’s rhythms and hormones to unlock quality rest—and the health benefits that come with it.
More than half of all Americans have difficulty falling or staying asleep. Drawing on the science between the connection between food and sleep, Dr. Marie-Pierre St-Onge pairs her comprehensive strategies for getting a good night’s sleep with co-author Kat Craddock’s 75 recipes. Each recipe was designed to include ingredients that naturally trigger the body’s dietary melatonin and serotonin to support a healthy circadian cycle, allowing you to have energy for the day and be ready for sleep at night. Eat Better, Sleep Better aligns with a Mediterranean diet and includes recipes that are easy to prepare, satisfying, and delicious.
