The Canton Audubon Society's monthly meeting will feature a program by Denise Ellsworth. Thanks to a USCA IPM grant, the pollinator health team launched the Plant by Numbers program in Ohio to educate gardeners about the use and importance of native perennials to pollinators (bees, etc). Three garden themes were unveiled: Specialist Bees, Bumble Bees, and Butterflies and Moths. Each theme includes a garden design, a plant list and growing instructions, all detailed in full-color handout. Ellsworth earned BS and MS degrees at OSU, and is a Canton Audubon member. Her presentation will be preceded by a 5:30 pm bird walk. Membership is not required. The Exploration Gateway is an accessible venue.
