FirstEnergy Akron Marathon, Half Marathon, and Team Relay
This unforgettable course offers a foot-tour through the heart of Akron, highlighting historic landmarks, vibrant neighborhoods, and scenic Summit Metro Parks. Runners and walkers begin and end in downtown Akron, passing iconic locations including the Akron Art Museum, The University of Akron, Firestone Park, the Towpath Trail, Sand Run Parkway, Stan Hywet Estate, and Highland Square before reaching the iconic Blue Line finish at Lock 3.
Participants can take on the full marathon or join the team relay to conquer 26 miles on 9.26. The 2026 event also marks the 20th year of the Half Marathon, celebrating two decades of runners and walkers reaching the Blue Line.
Whether racing, walking, relaying, or cheering from the sidelines, this event is a true celebration of Akron and the journey to the Blue Line.
